I did not get my degree in writing and if there wasn’t spell check, that would be very apparent! I did however get my BA degree in Liberal Studies from CSUSB. My life goal was to teach. Travel the world and teach along the way. Although my goal never became a realization, I did get some traveling done in my later teens, early twenties. Japan, Europe, Mexico and of course the majority of the United States all marked off my list.
I met my husband on MySpace. He won’t admit it but it was love at first sight. He tried to lock it down girlfriend/boyfriend style before one of my girl trips to Vegas, which I couldn’t let happen. I left all the party I had in me on the Vegas strip and returned with a magnet that read “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” in exchange. I gifted the magnet to Sean and asked him to be my boyfriend. Two years, three months and four days after, we were married.
Now we are living the dream, or the nightmare, depending on the day. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is an Electrician. We have two smart, blunt, funny, gorgeous children who keep us busy and are the center of most of our comical stories. They are 3 and 4, don’t judge me, it was God’s plan. Most of our days could be considered adventures even when we spend the day at home.
All of these adventures relate to you in some way or another, at least I hope they do. Or my life is more on the wacky side then I thought. Follow us through our journey. Laugh with us or at us, cry with us and make a list of the places you want to use as your next adventure. Pick up tips for traveling with kids and ways to save money while on these epic trips. No matter what you will always find ways to shine here on Shining Thoughts.
